SMPGD 2018

The 2018 annual workshop on Statistical Methods for Post Genomic Data (SMPGD) will take place at Université de Montpellier on 11-12 January 2018. Its aim is to present works from mathematical to applied statistics, but also new areas in high throughput biology that could need new statistical developments.

Registration is free of charge but mandatory.

This year the workshop will feature 4 keynote speakers :

Main topics in 2018:

The talks in SMPGD 2018 are centered around three main themes covered in four half-day sessions:

Theme 1: Evolutionary models and Bayesian Inference: recent statistical models in population evolution, epidemilogy and phylogeny; state of the art of Bayesian inference algorithms in those fields.
Invited speakers for this session include Camille Roux

Theme 2: Single Cell: systems biology, multivariate analysis and probabilist processes for single-cell sequencing dataset analysis.
Invited speakers for this session include Thalia Chan, Ulysse Herbach et Guido Sanguinetti

Theme 3: Non parametric Bayes and health: methods and algorithms for data with respect to health, clinical trials and post-genomic data.
Invited speakers for this session include Julyan Arbel and Lloyd Ellott
